Amazon.com just announced the launch of Amazon Vehicles. No, they are not selling cars. Instead, it allows users to research specific models of vehicles, auto parts or accessories. In addition, Amazon Vehicles displays information similarly to their other shopping pages. You can click on a vehicle, to learn more about it, or use the filter tool to continue looking for a certain part or model.
Furthermore, they offer car reviews by actual users. Yet, search results cannot be filtered by price. You can also have your questions answered by actual users. As opposed to kicking the tires, more people are using the Internet to research cars. Plus, with this new database, it will certainly help Amazon continue its reign as the “Everything” store. Amazon may or may not actually move forward with selling cars. Still, right after the launch, shares of TrueCar Inc. (TRUE) dropped 10%.
