For the purposes of this article, all images will be generated in Leonardo AI using the same generation model (SDXL 0.9), set to “Leonardo Style.” We will be using a single subject (a skull) and prompt, but we will add “XXX art style” to the end of the prompt and let the model change the image based on the various art styles. I’m generating three images per prompt and just picking the one I think looks the best. This is just an experiment and results are not guaranteed :).
Prompt: “An anatomically correct human skull, XXX art style”
DMT Art Style
DMT art style, inspired by the psychedelic experience induced by the chemical DMT, is characterized by vibrant colors, intricate designs, and otherworldly themes. This style often interweaves geometric patterns and surrealistic elements, creating an abstract aesthetic that offers a glimpse into the depths of the subconscious mind.
8-Bit Art Style
The 8-bit art style, reminiscent of early computer and video game graphics, is marked by its simplistic, pixelated designs and a limited color palette. This nostalgic style is ideal for creating images that exude a retro vibe, offering a fascinating blend of digital minimalism and vibrant creativity.
Pointillism Art Style
Pointillism is an art style that emerged from the Impressionist movement, characterized by the use of tiny dots of pure colors applied in patterns to form an image. It leverages the viewer’s eye and mind to blend the color spots into a full range of tones and is particularly effective for conveying the vibrancy of natural light.
Infrared Art Style
Infrared art style takes advantage of the unseen light spectrum, creating surreal and dreamlike images with striking contrasts. This style, often used in landscape photography, transforms green foliage into snowy white and the sky into a deep black or indigo, rendering ordinary scenes into visions of ethereal beauty.
Anamorphic Art Style
Anamorphic art style presents distorted imagery or designs that only become clear when viewed from a specific angle or through a transforming lens or mirror. This unique style, often employed in street art, gives the viewer the thrilling experience of discovering a hidden image, making for an interactive and immersive display of creativity.
Ambient Occlusion Art Style
The Ambient Occlusion art style is characterized by the use of shadowing to add depth to an image, making elements appear more three-dimensional and realistic. It’s commonly used in 3D rendering and gaming to enhance the contrast of light and shadow, giving the image a more detailed and visually stimulating appearance.
Mandala Art Style

Kintsugi Art Style
Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese art style that celebrates imperfection, embracing the concept of ‘wabi-sabi,’ the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. It involves repairing broken ceramics with gold lacquer, emphasizing cracks and damage as an integral part of the object’s history, rather than something to disguise, thereby creating a unique piece of art that signifies resilience and transformation.
Bacteria Art Style
Bacteria art style leverages the fascinating patterns and structures of microorganisms, often illuminated with vibrant colors, to create mesmerizing, abstract images. This style offers a unique blend of art and science, inviting viewers to explore the unseen beauty of the microscopic world.
