5 Dynamite Events for Entrepreneurs to Attend This Year

Have you ever gotten an invite to an event or conference and weren’t sure if you should go?

I know I have, and sometimes it’s a hard decision to make because its an investment of your time, and usually a lot of money.

From my experience, there are some conferences or summits you travel to that ultimately just don’t provide enough value. It’s a high price point ticket and you end up coming home discouraged that you spent so much money and precious time at an event.

Now if you’re company paid for it then well you’re off the hook for the bill. But let’s take an entrepreneur for example. Someone that has just started their business and is looking to scale and grow it to the next level.

It’s important to spend every penny wisely because well come on you’re an entrepreneur. Most people think your jobless with no money.

With this article, I wanted to focus on the entrepreneur or aspiring entrepreneur and recommend five events you should look into going to or find an invite to. They all range in price but some of these are so top notch that it will be worth whatever the price is. Investing in yourself is the best investment you can make, so don’t forget that.

These five events are all world-class with exceptional speakers and attendees that I know you will make friends at. But most importantly you will learn a ton from.

Real Talk Summit

This is an event being held in Vancouver, Canada on March 18th that has none other than entrepreneur, investor, and New York Times best-selling author Gary Vaynerchuk as the keynote speaker. The Real Talk Summit will mark the first time that Vaynerchuk will be talking in Western Canada.

Known for his raw and edgy thoughts on building a fulfilling and successful life, Gary has created a name for himself in the entrepreneurial world after growing his family wine business from $3M to $60M in 5 years.

I have to admit that I like Gary’s style and can admire someone who speaks the truth and doesn’t sugarcoat things.

The Real Talk Summit is a one-day event that pulls back the curtain on entrepreneurship through real and raw conversations on finding purpose, making an impact, and elevating your brand. Something that is super relevant in today’s world.

Summit

Some of you may have come across an event the past few years where a bunch of visionaries and business leaders got on a cruise ship, headed out to international waters, and held a summit together. If you didn’t hear about this, well now you did.

This was actually called “Summit at Sea” put on by the amazing Summit community. This year they have decided to change the scenery and not hold the summit on the ocean. Instead, they have decided to takeover over downtown Los Angeles.

They will be taking over century-old theaters, grand hotel’s, back alleys, and rooftops. With an attendee list comprised of the likes of Kobe Bryant, Brian Grazer, Arianna Huffington, + much more. I don’t know how you couldn’t want to attend this, besides the fact that it’s an invite only community.

Summit 2017 will be held in Los Angeles, California from November 3rd-6th. To get more information visit their website here.

10X Growth Con

If you haven’t come across Grant Cardone yet, then well you need to start paying attention. This dude is everywhere. Literally. From Snapchat to Instagram, or Facebook, you name it. Grant is there.

Cardone owns and manages several businesses and has $500MM+ worth in real estate investments. He’s an entrepreneurial icon that has amassed an impressive list of speakers for his 3-day conference being held this March in Hollywood, Florida.

From the likes of Shark Tank Judges Daymond John and Kevin Harrington, to world-renowned business strategist Jay Abraham. This is sure to be one amazing event.

Attendees can expect to learn amazing growth and strategy tactics from some of the most knowledgeable business minds in the world. I have a feeling this event will separate the winners from the losers.

Cardone is known for his “10X” slogan and he shows no stoppage of hustle. This conference will be action packed and high energy. If you want to step up your game in 2017, you definitely should check out 10X Growth Con.

Summit of Greatness

This is a fairly new event that not many people know about. Last year was the first Summit of Greatness and it’s put on by New York Times best-selling author and webinar expert Lewis Howes.

Howes has a School of Greatness Academy where he teaches students from around the world to live a better life; a life of greatness. He’s taken the success from building his community and built that into an annual event.

Last year he had the likes of celebrity chef and entrepreneur Fabio Viviani and Former NFL player Steve Weatherford speak at the event.

This is a place where you can expect to find that inner greatness. We all the have the power to do great things, but sometimes we just neglect to find it or use it. Howes will work to get this out of you in order for you to live the life you always wanted to.

Howes is someone I appreciate because of the way that he does things. Remember, when you are a good person, good things will happen to you.

The Summit of Greatness is scheduled for September 13th-15th in Lewis’ hometown of Columbus, Ohio.

The Human Gathering

I hadn’t even known about this event a few weeks ago, but I definitely have it on my radar now. This event sounds like a meeting of some of the most brilliant minds on the planet.

The Human Gathering strives to connect brilliant minds through conversation. Not through our phones, but through genuine human interaction.

They have built a community that believes in more than just succeeding in life. It’s about doing and believing in something for the greater good. It’s not about ourselves, it’s about us collectively as a team. Something I feel is often missed in events and teachings.

When we work as a team, we can all flourish. It’s a big crazy world out there and it’s easier and more manageable when we work together. The Human Gathering has established this amazing community and belief that teamwork makes the world a better place.

I agree with this statement because when we work towards the greater good of society, positive things will start to happen in our lives and others.

This event is invite-only just like the above mentioned Summit, but I highly recommend you check out their site to learn more. The Human Gathering is scheduled to take place April 6th-8th in Los Angeles, California.

I’ve definitely added this to my list of events to attend in the future especially if they have Founder of Xprize Peter Diamandis and the Founder of Quest Nutrition Tom Bilyeu as attendees.

The Ball is In Your Court

With these five events on your radar, there are no excuses not to make this your best year yet. Going to events is expensive but probably one of the best investments I’ve made in myself every year for the past five years.

At conferences and summits, you build genuine connections with others face-to-face. Something that is extremely important in our super-connected mobile virtual world where we do everything online.

I know from my experience attending events similar to these that I always walk out with new knowledge but more importantly, new friends. I can count at least 10-20 people I consider friends today that I have met at conferences or events in the past five years.

We’ve built a genuine connection and respect for one another. If you want to make the most of 2017 then I highly recommend you attend one of these events listed above or check out some different ones in your local area. In life, you get out of it, what you put into it.

Stop hesitating and start acting, because that’s the only thing holding you back from greatness.
