Hype House Founder, Thomas Petrou Preparing To Launch Women Empowering Coffee Brand

Hype House founder and social media personality, Thomas Petrou just launched his own coffee brand dubbed Smack’d Coffee.

If you haven’t heard of the Hype House or Thomas Petrou you may have been living under a rock for the past year. Petrou founded the Tik Tok conglomerate based in Los Angeles where a select group of creators collaborate amongst each other.  There’s more products in the pipeline as he is currently developing other business ventures.

Petrou recently announced that he founded a new coffee company called Smack’d, “For years, I wanted to find a coffee that not only tasted amazing but made me feel the same way about the money I was paying for it.”

He has based the company around supporting women-owned & operated farms and ensuring equal and high pay far above fair trade. On the company’s website he mentions, “I wanted to ensure that it was going to a valuable cause – and that I could know where it actually went. That’s why I teamed up with Coffeehaus to help me find the perfect farms for my blend. My blend consists of two coffees – from Brazil & Guatemala.”

He continues, “In Brazil, the coffee we buy comes from a family-owned farm that was inherited from his father. With our help and many others, he has helped grow the farm to ten times the size.”

Thomas announced on Thursday that Smack’d coffee, merchandise and stickers are now available for preorder on their website. The company mentions that preorders are estimated to be fulfilled and shipped in 2-4 weeks. It’s unclear when Smack’d will officially graduate from a preorder business to having regular inventory to order against.
