How INSPXRE Founder Jon Madray Created a Canvas Art Brand That Gives Back

Jon Madray is a Guyanese-American actor, DJ, and founder of the canvas art brand INSPXRE. For over 15 years, he has played at hundreds of concerts around the world and collaborated with some of the most affluent names in the industry, including music producer Avicii.

Jon is a multifaceted creative who has ventured into different fields and industries, with the latest being the arts through his company INSPXRE. As a rising online art gallery, INSPXRE embodies inspirational and motivational pieces that allows customers to choose the charity they want to donate to with their purchase. Jon crafted his business this way, as he is an advocate for giving back to communities in need.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jon used the luxury of time he had and started building INSPXRE as his passion project. Without prior experience in e-commerce, it became a leap of faith for him and he firmly believed in his work. Jon is a strong believer in the power of words and how they could affirm and manifest one’s dreams and aspirations.

To keep himself motivated, Jon usually keeps his personal self-reminders on his phone background and vision board on hiswall. With INSPXRE, he materialized his goal of creating something that could become a source of motivation for others. Potential customers can expect exclusive collections that will surely inspire those who purchase them.

Before creating INSPXRE, Jon was a known personality in the entertainment industry, first as a musician and later content creator and actor. His Indo-Guyanese background has also been an interest from other individuals in the industry, like chef Marcus Samuelsson on his PBS TV seriesNo Passport Required’ where Jon was featured to explore his music and how he incorporates his culture into his work as a first-generation Indo-Caribbean.

He uses his parents’ and grandparents’ stories as his source of motivation and as part of his goal of giving back to the community, Jon strongly advocates for mental health awareness. While this has become a norm in most countries, this remains to be a stigma in many others, including Guyana, which actually has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Jon resorted to charity to express his hopes to spread awareness and uplift his community.

This was also a major factor behind having a charity feature for INSPXRE. The first cause that you can choose from donates directly to the Anxiety & Depression Association of America, while the others provide food, secure housing, clean water, healthcare, and education opportunities to countries in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Through his gallery, he hopes to motivate the younger generation to pursue their passions and never give up on following their dreams, while giving back to those in need.
