Individuals with raw talent are difficult to come across. Those with both talent and skill are even more extraordinary. Pianist Vladimir Tiagunov is one such talent who has persevered with his skill at the piano for nearly three decades. His dedication and expertise have catapulted him to fame.
Vladimir has rendered numerous solo performances at leading venues across the globe, including Europe, Germany, Spain, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, and the United States. Vladimir added, “Performing solo is a pleasure in itself. I immerse myself in my music. It’s one of the greatest parts of being a pianist.”
Among his many awards, Tiagunov is the recipient of the 13th LISMA International Music Competition, New York, 2017, for being the top performer. At the Forte International Competition at Carnegie Hall, in 2016, he received the gold medal for the best piano technique.
Born on September 30, 1989, in the USSR, Tiagunov was interested in making music from an early age and started playing the piano when he was only six. “My father was an engineer and was the first person to show me how to play the piano, and encouraged me,” said Tiagunov, who gave his first recital at the ripe age of nine.
Tiagunov pursued music rigorously every day, practicing for hours, which helped him advance in his career. Tiagunov was immensely passionate about music. Today, he is revered for his knowledge and skill as an award-winning pianist. He considers music to be a second language, one that doesn’t need words to convey feelings. Vladimir added, “When I perform solo, I can communicate my feelings and emotions to the audience through my music.”
Tiagunov is regularly invited to serve as a jury member at International Music Competitions like the Manolov International Music Competition, the Long Island Conservatory Soloist Competition, and the International Competition at the Gould Academy.
Recently, Tiagunov announced the release of his next album, “Classical Piano: The Essential Masterpieces,” which are now available for listeners on all major streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, etc. Like all of Tiagunov’s work, this album is guaranteed to appeal to lovers of classical music everywhere.
