Colton Graves Makes Music From The Heart

A country artist who makes authentic music.

Growing up on a ranch in California made rising country star Colton Graves’ heart soft for the countryside. Working on his family ranch at a young age wasn’t Graves’ main passion. He fell in love with music very early on in his life based on some key moments. A vivid moment in Graves’ memory is singing songs with his Grandpa Lloyd while riding shotgun. “I started singing along with my Grandpa Lloyd (aka my best friend) in his truck when I was little. Been hooked on it ever since,” said Colton Graves.

Graves began recording himself on a six-track that his father gifted him. “My dad let me use his guitar in 8th grade and a little six-track recorder. I started writing music and recording stuff and having fun,” recalled Graves. After working on his craft, Graves began playing shows around Sacramento, California, whenever time allowed. However, it wasn’t until his best friend Bryce died a few years ago that he started pursuing music full time.

While Colton Graves has only released 1 EP thus far, he’s already touched the world in so many ways. He linked early on with Aaron Kaplan and released his debut EP “Smile For Me” under Extreme Music, a division of Sony ATV. The duo has been working on music together ever since they met at a show.

Graves’ “Smile For Me” release has been moving across the country. The EP has been streamed thousands of times across all streaming platforms, including racking up over 100,000 views on the official visual for the project’s title track.

While a normal day inside Colton Graves’ life consists of drinking tequila and writing music, many fans are wondering when Graves’ next drop might be. It’s been almost a year since his debut EP, making listeners impatient for new tunes.

While Graves has yet to release any music this year, we can be sure he is getting ready to drop soon. For now, stay connected to Colton Graves in the link below.
