The world we live in right now is not the world we had imagined a year back. Many things have changed within a year owing to a monster of a virus named Coronavirus that has disrupted industries, businesses, and most importantly lives of people, where many of them even lost their loved ones.
However, this is not the time to lose hope, says an astute doctor named Dr Arvind Yadav. This young man is driven to make a difference in people’s lives by sharing his knowledge about important things. Today, he has come forward to share how people can combat Osteoporosis and how the medically approved pruning technique is useful in maintaining oxygen levels in the body.
Dr. Arvind Yadav says that the risk of osteoporosis and subsequent fractures has persisted. It is the loss of tissue from the bones causing them to be fragile, leading them to break easily caused due to deficiency of calcium & vitamin D.
During the lockdown period, people engaged in no movements or travel, which made the joints weaker and brittle, plus no sunlight exposure added to the issue, which caused lack of production of vitamin D in the body leading to a degeneration of bones & Osteoporosis.
Apart from a proper calcium and vitamin D-rich diet, Dr. Arvind Yadav suggests people of safe exercise regimen and a healthy lifestyle to combat this health issue, especially during these times when people need to take extra care of their health. He says that keeping hydrated is of utmost importance.
This is because water brings calcium and other nutrients into the bones. Also, water helps people get rid of their body toxins, the build-up of which in the bones can lead to inflammation and breakdown in the bone mass.
People can also walk in their homes for a good 40-45 minutes and listen to good music while doing that, which will help in keeping their body active. Other physical activities like jumping and mobility workouts also help in giving more movements, working the muscle joints, and giving more flexibility.
Dr Arvind Yadav wants people to start breathing exercises as it will help reduce Osteoporosis. Deep breathing helps in causing isometric contraction & strengthening the muscles, which leads to lesser pressure & workload on the spine & ribs.
The young doctor also can’t emphasize enough the importance of the medically approved proning technique that helps in increasing the SpO2 levels. It has even helped patients beat Covid-19 with oxygen levels as low as 75%. You can check out the technique on a post shared by him on his Instagram handle (https://www.instagram.com/p/COa1vjQFO2S/?utm_medium=copy_link).
