One such name that has been buzzing high in the American music scene is Elizabeth Faidley with her ‘The Elizabeth Faidley Violin Studio’.
Elizabeth Faidley has risen to the top as one of the finest violin pedagogues in the world. She runs a large private studio, encompassing students from Australia to Austria to all over the US and teaches at the Manhattan School of Music. Elizabeth Faidley commands respect and recognition for her violin pedagogue, as teaching for her is not just about learning the lessons; it’s a lifestyle. She knows how to nurture each student as a person and help develop their individual strengths and interests and eventually, empowering the person, emphasizing the foundation technique.
Recalling her earlier days, Elizabeth Faidley says that everything started for her at the age of 8, when she lived in Chattanooga, TN. She saw a string quartet perform at her elementary school. Looking at that, she somewhere knew what she wanted to do in life and after getting her first violin, she has never looked back since then.
What sets this tremendously talented lady apart from others is her extraordinary classes, which is a close-knit group of young, passionate and talented violinists who receive a great deal of input from the most devoted teacher. From shaping the lives of her students, inspiring teaching every single week to imbibing the greatest violin lessons in them, building a solid foundation for the students as musicians, Elizabeth Faidley has truly proved her mettle in the industry.
Even during the pandemic, Elizabeth Faidley made sure to keep spreading more knowledge and hence, she held twelve pedagogical Zoom symposiums for 400 violin teachers from 36 countries. Through her social media, the ace violinist wants to continue engaging teachers and families.
During the summers, she teamed up with colleague Amy Beth Horman to create wonderful violin intensive programs and this summer, they are looking forward to teaching Mozartian style, scales and foundational studies.
