Finding Healing on the Journey to Success

Newly published author Samantina Zenon knows what it takes to find true healing. In her book, Joy: The Five Lights That Clarify Your Best Self Through The Pain, Samantina shares five secrets that have empowered her to integrate her pain into progress rather than letting it control her.

Samantina found that in pursuing every dream, she discovered a new side of herself: actress, speaker, creative, and now author. Past hardships may have made the journey a little longer, but they also made her stronger. Now, this Hatian native wants to use her story of healing to inspire others who come from abusive, broken homes. She is proud to be the testimony of healing that will spark others to take their first step.

Samantina took her first step towards mental help in college after experiencing a life-changing emotional collapse. Throughout her therapy sessions, she addressed her past traumas and parental abuse that sourced her destructive behaviors. Her personal breakthrough in the arena of mental health has allowed her to educate others who are also coping with childhood traumas.

She hopes her recent publication will open up the dialogue for survivors so they, too, can get help and begin to heal from past trauma. This survivor has certainly learned how to champion herself and believes that challenges lead to success.

In Samantina’s pursuit of healing, Wildsamfierce Shop was born. She unlocked the creative within and began to use graphic design as an outlet for her mental health. On her website, you’ll find an abundance of personally designed items, such as mugs, tshirts, facemasks, and more. Each design and quote is inspired by moments that shaped her into the person she is today. It’s a reminder to all that with the right mindset, we can make our wildest dreams come true.

“In my own skin, I will always win.” In addition to Samantina’s online shop, she also writes a blog. Topics range from fashion and travel to her own story and mental health. There’s also an option to join her newsletter to receive updates on everything from her latest book launch, to blog articles, speaking engagements and more.

Now a self-made successful actress, speaker, advocate, content creator and published author, Samantina proves that you can have all that you want if you just keep dreaming. Her work has been featured in notable publications, including Associated Press, Insider, Huffpost, Coveteur, Thrive Global, Medium, and more.

Samantina has learned that personal success comes from the understanding that every dream is worth pursuing. “Even if you have to dream alone, keep dreaming,” the creative says. “That’s how I’ve gotten to where I am today.” Ultimately, Samantina hopes to be an inspiration to others, like her, who come from abusive, broken homes.

So where does Samantina see herself in 5 years? “Let’s just say not even the sky’s the limit for me,” Samantina laughs. “I have big dreams and I will take the baby steps necessary to accomplish them. As an actress, I want to continue to produce and direct films and start my own production company. I am currently writing my first feature film. My ultimate dream is to produce films that tell authentic stories about culture, family dynamic and inspirational stories that make people think beyond the surface.”

As she looks back on where she started and where she finds herself today, she is grateful that she kept going. If she could say anything to others who are in the process of making their passions a reality, it would be to focus on building a strong foundation. “That’s what is going to make your business successful,” shares Samantina. “The reality is, it takes years to build a business and many times you won’t make money for the first few. But if you stay true to your foundation and put in the work, it will happen. Don’t let fear steal your dreams!”

Samantina found that in pursuing every dream, she discovered a new side of herself – actress, speaker, creative and now author. She found strength in the journey to healing that she never knew she had. Samantina hopes to use her story of healing to inspire others. She is proud to be the light for others that will hopefully spark them to take their first step.
