Here are the excerpts from his interview:

How do you describe the feeling of being on stage?

It is an emotion. Being on stage is the ultimate pleasure of life and my existence for me. It’s the connection I feel with myself without taking care of the standards that this society has made for people. When on stage, I am actually ‘myself’ with my guitar. The ones who know me personally are well-versed with the fact that I am a ball of energy while being on stage. That’s the compliment I get from people.

What does music mean to you?

For me, music is an escape from the chaotic world. With music, I get the courage of detaching all the strings attached to the societal norms. I feel fortunate to start with YouTube after which the band Sankraman happened. I consider music as my teacher and a cherishing experience of life. After all, it gives me peace of mind, boosts my self-esteem and gives me a reason to be happy and love my life a little more every day.

What is it like to be a top-notch musician?

Practice, practice, and immense practice. I couple it with honesty and dedication. Being a successful musician is my ultimate goal, and having said that, I ensure that the melodies and music I create is unique and not imitated. You have to be loyal to your work to be the best musician. I would say that this rule applies in every field of life.

What triggered you to become a musician and how did you get into this field?

There was something about music that I used to feel connected to. Music was always around me since when I was a kid maybe that bent me towards it. At 18, after completing high school, I joined the Delhi School of Music. I was always in awe of different kinds of musical instruments. With years of dedication and practice, I became a professional guitar player. That’s how I got into the industry after which I performed at various events globally.

What is your vision, and where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

My vision as a musical artist is to produce never-heard music through different instruments. I have always strived in creating an identity of my own. I am working towards being an artist who can write, produce, compose and play different musical instruments. And as I foresee the next five years, I want to explore different destinations of the world and make my music reach on a global scale.

Any tips for the budding artists in the music industry?

All I would want to say is to be true to your work. Do what you love and love what you do. If you follow someone, make sure to not imitate their style. Rather learn lessons from their personality, and work on your craft that would give you an identity of your own. Loving what you do will never make you feel bored, and that is perhaps pure bliss.

Lastly, what does the future hold for V Play Music?

V Play Music has a lot of new projects in the pipeline. I have new music albums which I am currently working on. Along with it, my focus is on the live setup which everyone will get to hear soon. Besides this, there are a few projects I cannot reveal or comment on for now. But I shall officially announce as and when things shape up. Stay tuned!
