There would be hardly any fashion-oriented person who would not have thought to get a beautiful permanent mark on their body. Tattoos have been on trend for many decades, they never go out of fashion. If you are a first-timer then you may be skeptical about what and how’s about it. Aakash Chandani the award-winning tattoo artist has some useful ideas and tips for you which are surely going to help you in making a decision.

“If you are a first-timer then you should opt for a body part which has more muscles and the flashy area around, as in these areas pain is minimal or almost negligent.” Says Aakash. Areas like fingers, elbow, knee, back, and face should be avoided if you are getting inked for the first time, he suggests.

Coming to the design part, Aakash says that “Do not go for tiny or smaller than average and intricate design, as over the period of time skin tissues are enlarged and so does the tattoo. Highly detailed tattoos generally don’t age well. The fine lines in the tattoo become thicker and faded over a period of time.

So your design might look a blurred version of the actual one.” The same goes with the colors, dark colors fade away slowly. These changes are more visible on photorealistic tattoos. Choose your design carefully by imagining the larger and little faded version of it. “ I would suggest to take a smaller element of a larger design and make it your tattoo” he adds.

“Choose a simpler design if you are the first-timer. This is particularly true for smaller designs but a good rule for any size of the design. Don’t add too many things to the design. Keep it to one main subject, one secondary subject, and one background element” Says Aakash who owns the popular Skin Machine tattoo studio in the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal.

Aakash Chandani, who gets visitors from all over the country and even offshore and has inked many celebrities including cricketers and people from the entertainment industry has few simple formulae for you to get a beautiful long-lasting stamp on your body that you always wanted to have.

Choose a design that includes your favorite colors, favorite images, and a style that you like. Think it through and give your decision sometimes. Maybe a couple of weeks, if it keeps appealing to you then there is no reason you shouldn’t go for it. Do not take a hurried and impulsive decision for something as permanent as tattoos, as few of them are really difficult to redesign or erase.

These are a few simple but extremely useful thumb rules if you have your favorite design in your mind and you are about to flaunt it very soon. “Don’t forget to get it done from a fine artist in a safe hygienic environment, and do listen to the design suggestions from the tattoo artist, as they are experts of the art and know what goes well and what not: He sums up.
