One of the biggest industries in the United States is the Entertainment industry. Many actors, producers, models, musicians, and businessmen, make their way to the largest hubs in the US, including New York and Los Angeles in search of living a Hollywood dream. The industry stemmed from creating other initiatives like the hospitality and nightlife business worlds. Places like Miami are known for being a great nightlife site, as the streets are lined with night clubs and places to party. Between the entertainment and nightlife industries, the two often complement each other to create an overall experience many individuals dream about.
With the rise of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the hospitality and nightlife industries have been put on hold for the most part. Despite these hardships, many clubs and venues are looking to open up again as the spread of the virus slows down. They are an essential cornerstone to the United States’ economy, being profitable to say the least.
While many club owners have been taking a beating to the wallet during the pandemic, the nightlife’s glory is still very much alive. One club owner who has had success in the nightlife and hospitality industries is Roman Jones, A.K.A. The “King of Miami.”
When taking a first glance at Jones’ social media, you’ll notice him standing next to some of today’s most famous influencers. Jones is often referred to as the “King of Miami,” a name that suits the entertainer well. Jones’ 20 years in the Nightlife, Hospitality, and Entertainment Industries has allowed him to build a name for himself bigger than any entertainer could hope for in a lifetime. He has been said to be ranked in the top 10 of all people to do what he has done, managing, launching, and owning some of the most famous clubs and venues in the world. While being a managing partner at The Opium Group, he’s built clubs including the Privee, Mansion, Cameo Theatre, Mokai, Club Space, Kiki On The River, Baby Jane, Don Diablo, Mandrake, and the very recent The Gramercy. All unique venues in their own right.
Jones comes from a line of successful people in the entertainment industry. His father, Mick Jones, is a famous English songwriter and record producer for the rock band Foreigner, which peaked during the ’70s and ’80s. Growing up in a family of talent meant Roman was always pushed to be someone great. He often learned things about the entertainment industry from his father growing up, which gave him the knowledge to start his ventures early on.
Jones has also expanded beyond just the night scene, opening up a restaurant called Colete. The establishment was voted the best French restaurant in the Miami Beach area. Another accolade to add the list for Jones.
Although times have been challenging in the hospitality industry, Jones is ready to get back at it once the United States fully opens again. He’s a true example of what hard work and dedication can do for anyone who has a vision. Even though he did come from an already well-connected family, Jones wouldn’t be the “King of Miami” without his vision and hard work. He’s changed the United States nightlife forever, and plans to continue to do so.
