Being an influencer is actually much harder than you might think. It requires hard hours, social media expertise, and the ability to put together a killer outfit. Kenza Boutrif is an Instagram star turned professional model who is taking the world by storm with her gorgeous looks and her talent on the runway.
Kenza Boutrif is now 19 years old, but she started her Instagram account back when she was only 13. She was still in school while she posted outfits, makeup, and lifestyle content. “I knew that I was passionate about social media, and I wanted to get in on the ground floor,” she said. “I’m lucky enough that I was able to learn how to use Instagram so young and already start building my follower count.”
Today, she has over 700,000 followers on the platform, which shows how much she captivates audiences. She is an independent influencer and organizes her own posts and brand deals. “I find posting about my life online fulfilling. I love talking to new people around the world and finding new ways to spice up my look.” Unlike other influencers, Kenza doesn’t like to hide things behind the camera. “I want to show people what it’s like to really be me. I want to be transparent and inspire people for who I really am. I have no interest in being a fake, plastic model.”
Kenza started modeling professionally because she was scouted from her Instagram. “I could have never thought that I would become a professional model. It was always a dream of mine, but I had no idea how to get there. Now, I’m living it.” Boutrif knows that she wouldn’t be where she is today without the support she’s received online.
“I dedicate my success to my brilliant fan base. Without all of the love I’ve received, I would never be where I am today.” Kenza’s only been a professional model for two years, but she’s already found so much success. She works in London and loves it there. “I’m originally from Belgium. Around a year ago, I was able to afford my own flat in London. It’s amazing to be around that much culture and excitement. It’s much easier to be an influencer and take pictures around the city when there are tons of exciting things to do.”
She is now a model for ASOS Must Haves, her biggest gig to date. “I was so nervous going into it. I didn’t know if I was cut out for professional modeling. What if I was best at Instagram? But I’m so happy with how the photos have come out.” The photos were met with a passionate response that Boutrif is absolutely giddy about. She undoubtedly has a bright future in the modeling world, but she’s still excited to keep her Instagram going.
While it can sometimes be hard to pinpoint where your success came from, Kenza Boutrif credits her fans for her success. As she continues to get more attention, this fan base is definitely going to expand even more and thrive.
