Pallu Gupta, Journey From a School Failure to the Founder and President of Angry Youth NGO

A youngster pallu Gupta alias Shubham Gupta belongs to Meerut, Uttarpradesh is the best suitable person for the above lines. In 2011, his intermediate result came out and he went to a nearby cyber cafe to check his board’s result but unfortunately, he failed in mathematics and couldn’t gather the courage to go home and face his father so he spent the whole day at a railway station.

He was feeling suicidal but soon he saw the homeless families living at the railway station. Children were crying and required milk, The people were helpless to arrange the basic food so he realized the real problem of life is not what he was going through but the real problem was the people were facing.

He started working for the welfare and upliftment of those people from the very next day. Meanwhile, he read about Shaheed Bhagat Singh and other revolutionaries and felt the immediate need for dedicated teamwork.

He founded an NGO based on the ideologies of Bhagat Singh in 2012 in Meerut and started spread its branches to Kanpur, Agra, Surat, Firozabad, Gorakhpur, Muzaffarpur, Delhi, and Mumbai. Its been almost 10 years of the NGO’s dedicated involvement in social services that led him to achieve a lot.

During this period of time, more than 400 social events like Food Drives, Ration Donation Drives, Clothes distribution drives, Awareness programs, Health care events, etc. have been organized by him and his team.

They are running many campaigns and one of them is ” Parwah ” in which they donate Sanitary Pads to Women living in Slums during their Menstruation. One other Project is “Adopt the Hunger” in which they provide a Food kit to the people who are not physically or mentally capable on monthly basis.

They are running free Classes under the project “Padhoge likhoge to banoge nawab” for underprivileged children to develop skills and other special habits in them.

During Corona Pandemic he along with his team fed more than 1200 Migrants workers and needy people on the daily basis. Many of the Media Houses and other Social Organisations have honored him for his contribution to society.

He is an Advocate by Profession and wants to be an IPS officer to make sure all the victims get justice. A lot of challenges have been faced by him during these last 10 years and one of them is to win the trust of the people to get involved in social services with Angry Youth as the Image of Social service-based NGOs is not so good in society. The other challenge was Financial arrangements for the NGO in starting phase.

One more challenge was to balance the studies and leading the Angry Youth as President at the same time.

But nothing was able to stop him from achieving his goals. He started alone but now more than 1000 Youth, directly and indirectly, are contributing with him in the Social causes.

The Vision of Angry Youth is that capable people want to help the needy but they do not have a Transparent, Practical, and Honest medium to reach them.

The NGO is working as a Bridge between the capable and the needy so the capable one can reach the needy one through us and can make a positive change in his life.

He named the NGO Angry Youth because what he thinks is if one wants a positive change in society then one has to have Anger against the negative things that exist in the society. Anger is always the first step of the change and the second may be Violence or Non-violence depends on the need of time like Mahatma Gandhi and Saheed Bhagat Singh.

In the 21st century, the need for time is only Non-violence and that is the path we adopted. This is how the NGO got its name ANGRY YOUTH and Slogan The Pacifism Leading by Anger.
