The Secret Weapon to Success in 2017

In today’s world, we are constantly inundated with options for success and advice on how to transform our lives. Many of us seek transformation. We wish to make an impact, share a message, and somehow intermingle business with all this goodness.

If you are looking for a platform that has the potential to connect you to anyone across the globe, to help you create content that impacts the lives of others, and to transform your life in the process, podcasting is a great tool to help get you on your way to new levels of success. Podcasts can even help you connect with worldwide celebrities who can, in turn, help grow your following—and ultimately your sales—beyond your wildest dreams.

Years ago, I had no idea that podcasting would change my life. When a friend suggested I start a podcast, she had no idea the huge impact it would have on me. Now, as I reflect after having worked with thousands of podcasters, I’ve learned that podcasting truly can change lives. Many people have found the silver lining of life through podcasting; I am not alone.

Here are three people who have used podcasting to transform their lives.

1. Sheila Sutherland

Sheila Sutherland was diagnosed with a rare chronic illness that causes inflammation in the brain, nerves, and spinal column. This led to her being unemployable because she had difficulty speaking and no motivation. When Sheila found podcasting, she felt a glimmer of hope. As a podcaster, she reached out to some very famous people who agreed to come on her show. Through these amazing interviews, she found herself becoming more open, less afraid to speak, and inspired to start a business, which, because of her show, is beginning to thrive.

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” — Socrates

2. Arne Giske

Prior to podcasting, Arne Giske was working at meaningless jobs, living with his parents, and was desperate to feel a sense of purpose. Equipped only with inspiration and a desire to help, Arne began The Millennial Entrepreneur Podcast with the hopes of impacting other Millennials who felt the way he did. Little did he know, he was meeting a big need. In less than a year, his podcast helped him create a Facebook group with over 9,000 members and a thriving podcast that now generates income for him and his guests’ businesses. His podcast has allowed Arne to travel the world without ever needing to clock into a job that he hates.

3. Sean Harrigon

Running his show, Cinescape, out of his spare bedroom, Sean Harrigon never imagined that he would land an in-person interview with world-famous Hugh Jackman, aka, The Wolverine. Sean’s show is made for comic book fans, and now it is helping him land jobs in a crowded space of writing about comic books and action movies. For Sean, it’s a dream come true. He imagines that with a little more work, his show will become the leading source for comic book fans around the world.

“Success is not a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.” — Arthur Ashe

In a world where we’re constantly distracted and can easily stray from our purpose and mission – podcasting has become a powerful tool to help many stay aligned. Arne, Shiela, Khierstyn are regular people who took a leap, and just like you, they started with one small step and it led them an incredible destination. Podcasting has transformed my life and the lives of countless others who have discovered this powerful tool. My podcast provides an anchor in a world where I am constantly distracted and can easily stray from my purpose.

You, too, can use podcasting to stay aligned with your purpose, achieve your goals, and transform your life. Is podcasting perhaps that one small step you can take toward a better you?
