Serial Entrepreneur and Angel Investor Didi Wong Opens Up About Her Best-Kept Secret

When you think of Didi Wong, women empowerment may come to mind. Award-Winning International Keynote Speaker, Hollywood Film & TV Producer, serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and mother of four may also come to mind. But that’s not all Didi Wong is known for. She also has a deep passion for real estate and interior design.

How did you get involved in real estate?

I love real estate, which comes from my mom and dad taking me to open houses as a girl. Back in the day, open houses didn’t come with beautifully staged houses. It was just empty spaces. I remember just finding a corner while my parents walked around.

I have a deep passion for real estate. When I’m free and have nothing better to do, I look at houses online, and I love looking at interior design. Everyone has that place online when they’re bored. For me, it’s looking at houses, researching interior design, and creating feng shui in homes.

What’s your favourite part about real estate and designing homes?

At the end of 2020, I was the victim of a cybercrime and because I’m so spiritual and believe in the power of energy. I decided to rearrange my furniture inside of my house to promote good energy.

For instance, cybercrime is on the computer, so I moved my computer around in my office. Things in the middle of the room will bring fortune and health, so I moved my computer to the middle of my desk in the middle of the room at the end of 2020, and so far, 2021 has been a great year. And I believe it’s because I moved things around and invited that positive energy into my home.

This is part of what I do with interior design. I also pick the colors, design the home, but I mainly focus on what you want to invite in your home and how we can set that up for you.

In my house, I emphasize the East part of my home to promote family. I have a map of the world to promote positive energy around traveling with my family. When I was trying to get pregnant, I put many baby pictures on the West side of my home and designed my home around that energy. And 3 months later I was pregnant! Although it could be a coincidence, doing these things raises my belief and makes me more confident in my designing decisions.

Do you have any advice for people looking to buy and sell homes?

If you’re an investor or looking to sell a home, design your home in a way that doesn’t make it cookie-cutter. I encourage you to stand out and be unique in your interior design because that will help you stand apart from other homes and sell your house faster.

Are you currently taking on new interior design clients?

My husband and I own our own interior design company, but it’s more of a hobby at this point. We get most of our projects from word-of-mouth referrals. I’m definitely open to new opportunities, whether it’s a new interior design project or even a speaking engagement. Feel free to reach out.
