Rapper Shaquelle Alexander aka Flea Mitchell’s journey has not been a walk in the park. Right from an early age, he fell in love with the art of music and since then there was no stopping from him. He had a tough start in life but that didn’t stop him from dreaming big. The talented artist grew up in a Caribbean household. As a young teen, he got in trouble with the law but instead of getting defeated about it, he pushed himself up and devoted all his attention to music.
His biggest motivation in life comes from his dark days. In fact, many of his lyrics are focused on his journey and setbacks. According to Flea Mitchell, “Even in my toughest days, I know I wanted to make an impact with my music.
It is what helped me to make the best of my time. I think I am honestly proud of what all I have achieved in life. I know the struggles I have gone through at a young age. That is the biggest motivation for me. I think music is something that has a universal appeal and I want to work on that.”
Flea Mitchell feels that one of the best parts about being in the industry is meeting new people, opening yourself up to new experiences and challenges.
“It is incredible how people connect even when they don’t have the same lives and that is amazing about music. However, one thing that I don’t like about this industry is people can be fake. So, it is tricky to judge in the first meet but eventually, you start to figure out things and you move forward in life,” sums up Flea Mitchell.
