Picture this: you’re downtown taking a stroll, on your way to eat lunch, and all of the sudden you see a man pulling a red wagon down the street with a plant inside of it. As you get closer, you see it looks like a marijuana plant. You’re probably thinking, does this man want to get arrested? You have to ask what his deal is and he informs you it’s actually legal because it’s not a marijuana plant, it’s a hemp plant!
When you like something, it makes you want to shout it from the rooftop, and that’s exactly what Steve, owner of Steve’s Goods did.
After playing the extremely physical sport of football for years, his body was banged up and his mental health also took a turn due to the amount of concussions he suffered from. After dabbling with CBD, he realized that he was feeling better, healthier, and ready to take on the day. He wanted to share his experience with hemp and started doing that by pulling his red wagon around town to spark conversation and educate members of his community.
After realizing that there are a lot of misconceptions around hemp and CBD, he knew he needed to take his red wagon to the next level. Built solely around education and information, Steve’s Goods was born. He wanted to create a business that would educate people on hemp and its benefits and provide high-quality, fair-priced products.
Steve started his business in Maine where he ran into the roadblock of finding quality products online from sources he could trust. Since the East Coast has stricter restrictions on hemp, he found his way back to Colorado to source the best farmers and plants.
Colorado has one of the longest histories with cannabis, and the most robust hemp program in the U.S.. The state’s agricultural program performs spot-tests of hemp plants while they are still in the field to check THC levels and will investigate the potential use of any illegal pesticides based on complaints.
Unfortunately, products made with hemp grown overseas can be extremely problematic because they are not subject to any state or federal testing. That’s why shopping online can be hard. Not to mention CBD is now a billion dollar industry and there are many people just trying to make a few bucks instead of using the healthiest, purest hemp.
Steve made it his mission to change the hemp industry and provide high-quality Colorado CBD to people who could not easily access it.
What makes Steve’s Goods different is their formulations include minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN.
CBN (Cannabinol- not to be confused with cannabidiol) is produced when tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) oxidizes. CBN can be used effectively as a sleep aid or sedative. This cannabinoid has also been shown to help regulate the immune system and works to relieve the pain and inflammation. CBN also acts as an anticonvulsant.
CBG (Cannabigerol) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that is typically screened for in potency tests for minor cannabinoid concentrations. It has no intoxicating effects and a vast number of potential therapeutic uses. CBG is thought to be one of the most expensive cannabinoids to produce because it’s so sparse. Cannabis strains ordinarily contain very little CBG, often below one-percent by weight. It takes thousands of pounds of biomass to create small amounts of CBG isolate.
Steve’s Goods in-depth research into the world of hemp and CBD has truly paid off as their customers can fully depend on them for consistent, valuable products.
They take pride in their formulas and education. In fact, they even won Rooster Magazine’s “Best CBD Dabs” two years in a row in the THC Classic. They have entered for a third time, and expect good results on some of their new flavors. They’ve had a hugely successful hemp harvest on their three acre hemp farm where they grow their raw materials.
Overall, Steve’s Goods mission is to normalize and humanize CBD and other hemp products. Even though CBD is widespread, people still don’t know of the great benefits it can bring to your life. CBD can be a pain reliever, reduce anxiety and depression, and ease many common health problems. Through their education on social media, their website, and in-person, they’re hoping to put their products in front of people who truly need them and can trust the quality of their elite ingredients and unique, effective formulas.
