Trive, a social science global consensus engine that researches and clarifies facts and empowers users through cryptocurrency to discover truth through the wisdom of the crowd, has announced the addition of Mark Klein PhD, a Principal Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), to their advisory board.
Mark Klein has spent over two decades at MIT. His background includes a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Illinois, as well as research and teaching positions at AIST, Hitachi, Boeing, Penn State, the University of Zurich and the Nagoya Institute of Technology. Dr. Klein conducts research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and social computing, studying how computers can enable better knowledge sharing and decision making among groups of humans. He has 180 publications in these areas, with 8000 citations, an h-index of 43, and over 25,000 downloads.
His approach is multi-disciplinary, and he is deeply committed to having a direct impact on solving real-world problems, especially in the sustainability and deliberative democracy realms. Dr. Klein’s experience and academic expertise is perfectly aligned with Trive’s goal of fostering truthful exchange in global news and information.
Trive CEO David Mondrus explains, “Dr. Klein is a well-recognized leader at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Social Computing. His expertise and depth of experience will aid design and future innovation in the Trive ecosystem. We are very pleased to have this opportunity to work with him.” Dr. Klein describes the opportunity as “exciting” as he begins his advisory role.
Trive is a non-cooperative equilibrium engine using social science to research and confirm facts. Trive incentivizes users to discover truth through an antagonistic human action model using cryptocurrency. Combining wisdom of the crowd and game theory, Trive enables people to research, verify, score, and share the truth of almost any piece of information while securing that proof to the blockchain as an infinite index in an unalterable state.
For the first time in human history, science and technology can provide a mechanism to end historical negationism and disincentivize the mass spread of falsehood on a global scale. Trive will build a fertile seedbed of provably verified information free from bias, centralized control, and manipulation. Owned and driven by its users, Trive will provide the insight needed to build better lives based on reliably informed decisions.
