What is GRIT?
GRIT is a blockchain game set in the Wild West with all the familiar aspects we love about that genre: horses, gunslinging, and country accents. The crisp animation and graphics were built in Unreal Engine, a powerhouse in the gaming space, and that power shows in the realistic graphics and expansive mechanics and systems. Each player gets a custom character with their own NFT.
As with any battle royale, the walls are closing in as soon as you start playing. In GRIT, the shrinking world is due to a heavy storm called The Calamity, and players have to stay ahead of it if they want to survive. In the battle royale ring, you fight other players for rewards, build up your character with special perks and bonuses, and make your way through the Wild West.
It’s an experience that seamlessly integrates both traditional gameplay mechanics and blockchain gaming. Gala Games is bringing their Web3 adventure to The Epic Games Store, their first title on the platform.
GRIT offers a number of engaging mechanics, such as:
- Multiple play modes: solo, duo, and squad
- 400 old-school gun variations
- Robust Perk System
- Different game modes, including Train Chase and Golden Horse
- Your own horse to bond with and level up
These mechanics are what will set GRIT apart from other blockchain games.
Unique Gameplay with Perks
With the perk system, players can find weapons around the frontier that build special perks in the form of cards. Different cards offer different advantages (and tradeoffs), making for a unique experience. Combining the cards offers abilities that affect health, strength, and even accuracy with guns.
Harnessing the Power Of the Unreal Engine
The Unreal Engine offers developers a way to create visually stunning games that run smoothly and take less time to make. It’s the perfect avenue for Gala Game’s vision of the future for blockchain gaming. Alongside that, GRIT will launch on The Epic Games Store, a platform that sees more than 194 million users. The combination gives GRIT a chance to stand out and be taken seriously.
