An Exclusive Interview With the Founder of Moonshot

How did this adventure begin?

The idea to enter the space with a project of our own dates back to 2017. We have been discussing ideas off-and-on for years but never found the perfect combination of factors and people for a competitive push into this market. Now we have.

How long have you been in the crypto world?

I was introduced to the crypto space back in 2013. At first, I started out trying to completely understand Bitcoin’s source code, and later, I taught myself how to evaluate and invest in cryptocurrencies.

What does it mean to be a developer for crypto?

A developer in crypto has many responsibilities. To handle them well, you need to have a few skillsets. Of course, a solid understanding of blockchain technology and smart contracts is a must but you also need to be able to stay calm and reduce stress factors, you need to be able to control emotions – There is a whole plethora of social skills required next to the technical skills to work in crypto as a developer.

What difference do you see between 2017 and today?

In my opinion, the main difference with 2017 and today is that people are holding and accumulating bitcoin instead of actively trading it. As Bitcoin has established itself as a store of value, it’s important to keep stacking those satoshis.

Why do you think moonshot can help or do to better the world?

We have to build a great and very active community. Together with everybody in our community, we have a very large reach and when our community comes with an initiative we will do our best to give them a voice. Just recently, we supported India’s crypto covid relief fund and donated to this cause.

How do you see moonshot in 1 year, and in 5 years?

Our ambition is to become a top 100 project in the next 5 years. For this year we want to release our Moonboxes platform, integrate a few of our Arade style games to organize tournaments and a Lottery. MoonBoxes are virtual boxes that contain NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) which can be purchased using Moonshot tokens.

These space-themed NFTs are specifically designed and produced for Moonshot by highly skilled artists. The first series of NFTs that will be inside the MoonBoxes is limited to 1,000 pieces. These 1,000 MoonBoxes will be released in waves, each tied to the season of our upcoming animation series, ”The MoonShooter”.

On our platform, you will be able to buy, open and redeem your own unique MoonBoxes. Every MoonBox contains an NFT, which all of which will vary in rarity. These NFTs will be revealed to the purchaser five days after the MoonBox launch event.

If you receive a rare NFT you are eligible to claim a prize from our prize pool. The rarer the NFT, the greater the prize. This prize pool remains untouched if prizes are not claimed, they are simply included in the next NFT cycle and can be claimed then.

Once each Moonshooter animation series concludes, the remaining NFTs from the unsold MoonBoxes will be “burned”, whereby the remaining unsold NFTs will be “burnt” and removed from circulation forever. Thus potentially drastically increasing the value of the purchased NFTs due to their increased scarcity. Once this cycle is over, the MoonBoxes will be “refilled” with NFTs from a new series. From here, the cycle repeats.

What are you most proud of about moonshot?

Our community.  Their endless energy and dedication serve as an example to us to keep pushing the project forward, to reach new milestones and to celebrate achievements together.

How do you see this market, what do you think about defi? It’s only the beginning?

We are convinced that not only BTC and ETH will keep growing; The number of holders will keep increasing steadily, the number of transactions will keep increasing. The crypto market as a whole will keep growing.

Cryptocurrencies have reached the mainstream and they will continue to slowly change the way how we transact with each other in the real world. People are seeing the benefit of seamlessly exchanging value in near-real time and cross border. We are seeing financial inclusion for those people who in the classical world don’t have access to the financial system.

Anyone in the world who has access to a smartphone and the internet can access affordable and appropriate financial products and services in a timely manner. Over the next few years, we will see a major expansion of cryptocurrencies in third world countries while at the same time, gaining widespread acceptance in the industrialized countries.

We are waiting for your Nft boxes, how will the evolution of moonshot be in the coming months?

The next stage of our project is the introduction of the NFT loot-box program me. These loot-boxes are called MoonBoxes. MoonBoxes are virtual boxes that contain NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) which can be purchased using Moonshot tokens. These space-themed NFTs are specifically designed and produced for Moonshot by highly skilled artists.

Do you want to give us a price prediction for moonshot?

Unfortunately, we cannot give you any price prediction for Moonshot. We don’t have a magic glass ball that tells us the future price. However, we strongly believe that our product ideas, together with our branding and the strength of our community, can make a competitive push in this market.
