Father-son duos are not new to boxing. Joe Frazier’s accolades need no introduction, and his son Marvin was once a renowned fighter himself. Floyd Mayweather Jr. followed in his father’s footsteps to become one of the best fighters in boxing history. Hafiz and Shokran Parwani look to leave the next great father-duo boxing legacy, and their efforts are getting attention quickly.
Shokran, born in Afghanistan and raised in Germany, is a professional boxer known for his tireless training and work ethic. Shokran is off to a 15-0 start in his career and shows no signs of slowing down. “He never loses,” said Hafiz Parwani, 9-year-old son of Shokran. Hafiz is right about his father, and if Shokran is right about his son’s future in boxing, Hafiz won’t be losing much either.
Then again, Hafiz’s nickname is “The Future.” Hafiz has been exercising with Shokran since he was 2 years old. Shokran’s boxing exercises have taken social media by storm, and Hafiz is starting to garner the same attention. Just on Instagram alone, the father-son duo combine for over 100,000 followers. If you do one thing today, do this: go check out the father-son workouts posted on their social media profiles. You won’t be sorry.
There is no denying that Hafiz is eager to follow in his father’s footsteps as a professional boxer. The talent and genius of Shokran is something everyone in the boxing community should admire, just as Hafiz so often does.
Shokran will look to improve his record to 16-0 in his next match, and if he does, you can rest assure that Hafiz will be the first one to climb in the ring and celebrate with his father.
