Robin Janssens Shares His Inspirational Journey in an Exclusive Interview

When Robin Janssens was a child he had a dream. He didn’t want to be a pop star, famous actor, or professional footballer. Janssens’s dream was a lot more modest but at the same time just as difficult, if not harder to achieve.

“Ever since I can remember, I wanted to be an entrepreneur,” explained Janssens. “As crazy as it sounds, I think I was born with the entrepreneurial gene, if there is such a thing. Even as a youngster, I was forever looking at situations and things, trying to work out all the angles and how they could be improved. I was always trying to create and innovate, and my motivation wasn’t about making money. It was about changing the world and making my mark.”

It’s safe to say Janssens has definitely left his mark. In entrepreneurial terms, he’s something of a renaissance man. With vested interests in everything from marketing to accounting and even driving schools, Janssens is a firm believer in not putting all your eggs in one basket.

“A big part of what I do is the creation of modern and innovative ecosystems for different companies,” explained Janssens. “In other words, I specialize in scaling different businesses, fast. I don’t focus so much on how different industries operate as I do on a universal, tried, and tested ecosystem that gets results.”

Although he soon learned during his five-year stint in a business school in Sydney that he would never entertain the idea of working for someone else, Janssens is the first to admit he wouldn’t have reached where he is today without his business partner, Hamza.

“I’ve been with Hamza from day one. Having the right business partner lightens the load. You can play to one another’s strengths, and it’s always good to get a second opinion on something,” revealed Janssens.

With over 10 companies and 100 employees to his name, it must feel to Janssens like his childhood dream has come true.

“It’s only just beginning,” he explained. “There’s a long way to go before this journey reaches its destination. So put your belt on, it’s about to get exciting.”
