The Simple Way to Fund Your Idea

Let me guess, you were sitting in that coffee shop last week and BOOM that amazing idea popped into your head. You started scribbling it down on that napkin, and can’t stop thinking about it. You tell your spouse about it, and they think it’s brilliant! But now what? You need funding.

This is when you start taking action and getting shit done. You start building out a prototype, or researching your industry and finding out how you build this idea of yours. So why would you stop now? You shouldn’t but lots of people do because they are scared of the risks it takes to build a business. If it was easy everyone would do it.

The reality is that most businesses fail, but the worst part is that people sit on ideas for days, weeks, months, and even years before they actually take action on their great idea. To help those of you out there who have an idea right now that you are either sitting on or developing. I wanted to bring to your attention a cool new website called Venture Hunt.

At Venture Hunt they have compiled an impressive list of resources to help people like yourself with growing and building their business. But it doesn’t stop there. They have two really cool contests allowing anyone to enter where they are awarding 2 prizes of $50,000 and $250,000 to develop your business. Sounds awesome right? Let’s break it down.

Half Baked Ventures

(App Idea)

You have until July 1st, 2016 to enter and the judges will pick one lucky winner to receive $50,000 in app development from Singh Ventures. Yeah, that idea you scribbled down on that napkin, could become a reality by signing up here.

The Venturizer

(Accelerate your Business)

Inc.ubator will invest $250,000 in a startup to help with funding, mentorship, and getting press for your startup. That’s a big chunk of change that could literally change your life. Take your startup from beginning stages to major traction by entering this contest here. You also have until July 1st, 2016 to apply so don’t wait and act now.

Another great incentive for someone to apply is that even if you don’t win either of the contests, you still get great advice from the Venture Hunt team and also receive mentorship from them. Mentorship is huge for a startup or any entrepreneur, just read this article from Forbes.

So if you have that app idea or an idea for the next great unicorn startup, stop dwelling on it and start taking action.

If this article won’t make you enter the contest and take action, maybe this video from Gary Vee will.

Oh yeah and the simple way to get funding is to enter a contest.
