The company is based in Chattogram, Bangladesh, and produces high-end shoes and leather crafts. It is the first Chattogram-based brand to establish a national benchmark business that will manage everything from a single store to the entire country.
And, eventually, the international market via an e-commerce platform. “Our investment approach is built on developing the SME initiative with a low-budget investment that reaches every doorstep around the world from a single storefront,” Sohel explained.
Coming from Chattogram, Bangladesh. Sohel Farid is one of the emerging entrepreneurs whose shoe company “Kraft” has revolutionized the e-commerce and fashion industry known for its magnificent diverse culture.
Sohel took inspiration from his father, Farid Ahammed, who is a visionary and iconic entrepreneur. Sohel joined the family business at a very early age to learn about business, entrepreneurship, and social duties. His father’s foundation is related to many charities working across his hometown, which inspires Sohel to give it back to society.
With Kraft, Sohel wants to create quality products that can be affordable to every consumer class. He stated that most renowned brands only target the upper class with expensive stuff, which is not affordable for everyone. Still, our business strategy is premium shoes for everyone, from a rickshaw puller to a recognized business individual. Sohel intends to make an SME-based e-commerce model which is accessible to all.
“In 2004, shortly after graduation, I joined my family firm to learn about entrepreneurship,” he said when questioned about how he got started as an entrepreneur. Later that year, with shoe and leather products, I launched my first retail venture in 2009. Since then, I’ve invested in a variety of retail brands to suit the varied needs of people from all walks of life.”
“Kraft was established in 2014,” he also stated. During the pandemic, we announced that we would launch our first premium shoe retail store in 2020. Since then, it has been trying to provide our valued customers with the highest quality footwear and leather crafts.
His next objective is to establish a clothing and apparel line for everyone, available to all consumer classes. He also wants to participate in the international fashion industry with “Kraft,” with Bangladeshi essence in everything.
