Rena Awada was a parent to young kids and could barely manage to balance everything that was on her plate. As a result, she found herself eating empty calories and not exercising.  With time, her energy depleted and her general wellness eroded away. She knew she needed to change her lifestyle, but she was daunted by the task of cooking healthy meals for herself regularly.  After all, she barely had enough hours in the day as it was.

This led to the creation of Healthy Fitness Meals, which helps people create fast, easy, and healthy meals.  Health and wellness is important for success and productivity in every aspect of life, whether a busy parent or an aspiring entrepreneur. Awada understood just how important it was for herself and other parents to maximize meals while minimizing time spent on them and in turn developed the perfect product for her needs.

Throughout her journey of growing this into a massive company, she has stayed consistent in business approach and brand story. Her customers are the first priority in everything she does and transparency is crucial. Between Instagram and other social media platforms, she has developed a brand image to foster engagement and brand loyalty.

Customers Always Come First

Awada largely built her massive following through strong customer relationships. When first starting out, she made sure to always respond to people via social media and take the time to learn more about who was buying her products.

This allowed her to continually develop her product offerings so as to better meet their needs.  She cites consumer happiness and trustworthiness as two of the company values her organization cares most about.

Additionally, she has made the effort to never use negative advertising and never misinform consumers about what her product offers.

Transparency and authenticity have helped reinforce their brand of promoting wellness and truly helping people lead healthier lifestyles. Particularly in the food industry, there are too many people utilizing marketing that puts down the competition and makes false claims about their own product. Awada wanted to make it excessively clear she cared more about helping the consumer than about making a profit.

Focus on Things You Love

When Awada first started, she was not looking to start a company or make a profit. Rather, she had an express need to be healthier while spending less time on food.

Eventually, it expanded slightly more into creating content to help other people do the same for themselves. Even to this day, her goal is not the money, but to help others through a medium she now thoroughly enjoys. Content creation can be a drag, but if the content you make is something you enjoy, it will make the task a bit easier to follow through on.

Furthermore, she learned that in order to do something that creates value and is authentic in portraying that value, you need to be passionate.

There are hundreds of meal plans out there and thousands of food bloggers, so what would set Awada apart from the rest? Her passion for being a better mother ensured that even if the idea never took off as a company, she would still gain personal value from the product. This passion easily carried over to her consumers and reassured them that she truly wanted to help them.

Maintain a Healthy Work-Life Balance

One of the most difficult parts of Awada’s job is that she is a still a young parent. Each day starts the night before as she gets her kids’ lunches together for the next day.  In the morning, she gets them ready and off to school. Then she cooks her breakfast and clocks in an hour at her in-home gym.  Regardless of how busy she is, she has dedicated herself to exercising daily and eating healthy.

While her kids are at school, she works hard to get all of the work done for her company so she can mostly go back to being a mother once they come back home. No matter how busy she is, she has broken her days down into being a parent, being an entrepreneur, and being a woman.  She cannot forego any of these responsibilities and never lets her life get out of balance.  This may seem impossible, but with diligence anyone can make a similar routine work for them.

Healthy Fitness Meals was created as a means of becoming a healthier mother, and this appeal resonated with a huge community of parents around the world. Rena Awada approached this company from her own passion to be better for her kids and maintained that level of genuine passion throughout the venture’s growth.Opinions expressed here by Contributors are their own.
