Duval Artist Jo Bai Epitomizes The RnB Sound of the ’90s and Early 2000s With His Single “Protocol”

90’s babies have been dominating the game for quite some time now. Jo Bai is an independent content creator, photographer and R&B artist hailing from Jacksonville, FL. He’s been writing music since he was only 14 years old and he also taught himself how to hold a note to help sell the lyrics when sending out sample tracks for major artist placements.
Jo’s grandmother was his biggest inspiration growing up, she helped raise all 8 of his brothers and 2 of his sisters while keeping them involved in church and music. With her passing in 2018, this put fuel in Jo Bai as an artist to continue his journey.
His new self-directected music video for “Protocol” (Prod. By TJ Da Beatman) epitomizes the R&B sound of the 90’s and early 2000’s vocally. As each second moves forward, his floetry merges with the beat and he one-ups each soundscape through metaphorical, heartfelt lyrics. This is 1 of many videos Jo Bai has released over the years, including ’45th” which has garnered about 10,000 organic views so far.
