Latrell YT was born on June 9, 1997 in Saint Louis, MO. He grew up in a single parent home that led Latrell to roaming the streets. This is where he developed an even greater passion for music. Singing and songwriting was a way for Latrell to express his emotions and feelings into his music to share with the world.
He started singing & rapping at the young age of thirteen years old. He decided to wait until he was older to really pursue music, while in time to perfect his craft and share with the world his stories, with the dream of making it into the music industry.
“Sometimes the best thing to do is to step out of your comfort zone to achieve the success you dream of, keep that vision before your eyes and never lose it in this life,” he says.
This successful, up-and-coming artist has proven over the years he has the drive and talent, where the best of his music career is still yet to come. Growing up in St. Louis, MO, Latrell decided that the only way out of the street life was to master his music craft. He wants to show people hope in his home city, that there’s a way out despite certain circumstances in life as long asyou push yourself and continue to strive to do what you love.
When losing his brother, Rico, Latrell gives him full credit for helping him stay focused and grinding to become better. This pain experienced in life is what makes this artist’s music so raw and passionate that others can relate to.
“The only thing I can do right now is let my music speak for all the things I’ve gone through and continue to go through in life,” he says.
Though the artist is known for his extraordinary music, he has begun to progress in the entrepreneur business industry that includes selling merchandise “Lost Soul.” This clothing line is going to include a unique variety of men and women tracksuits, t-shirts, joggers, and sneakers.
The artist explains in small detail the meaning behind the brand. Latrell YT says,
“I was just at a point in my life where I had felt completely lost, where I didn’t have any guidance. I felt like every conflict in my life kept piling up with more and more grief along with it. I didn’t see myself going anywhere and I knew that writing about it would help a lot of listeners that have also been through this type of stuff.
Depression and the feeling of having no one in your corner isn’t talked about enough or mocked when people come forward about these things, I wanted to give those people courage, strength, and hope that there’s better days coming. The merchandise will be dropping later in the year so make sure you keep your eye out.”
