Ryan Eshaghi, better known as BLEAM, has been making waves in the music industry. The talented musician transitioned from DJing to releasing original music and has recent singles, “Antigua” and “Freak Show” – the tracks have been met with success, and positions BLEAM as a rising star to look forward to in 2021.
BLEAM was born in Orange County, California, and graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a degree in Economics and Management. As a child, he showed a keen interest in music and was encouraged by his parents to pursue his passion. He started learning piano at age 6, and at 17, he started writing his own music. Two years later, he began his stint as a DJ and performed at various clubs. His first live show was in front of a massive audience of more than 4,000 people at the Summerlands Music Festival in May 2019, wherein he performed with Ayokay, Gallant, and Masego. His act was noticed, and soon he gained prominence, taking the Southern California club scene by storm and performing with A-list artists from around the world. His catalog of opening and support sets boasts of electronic juggernauts such as DVBBS, JOYRYDE, Firebeatz, Feed Me, and more. In April 2020, BLEAM performed for The Electro Side’s Lockdown Festival with 30 other DJs from across the globe.
Following his success as a DJ with a rising following, he decided to focus on producing his own music, which can be described as a raw, left-field blend of party four-on-the-floor with some captivating storytelling. He broke into the house music scene in November 2019 with his first single, ‘New Age’ via Sous Chef Records. The single generated quite a stir and catapulted him to the ranks of amazing talent to watch out for.
The second release in May 2020, “Antigua” was highly acclaimed and made it into thousands of listeners’ playlists, including Spotify’s “Hot New Dance” and “Friday Cratediggers” playlists. This success was followed by another release, “Soul Searching”, on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records, which has backed some of the industry’s greatest hits from artists such as Avicii, Afrojack, and Steve Angello. The track received additional support from artists like Tiesto, R3HAB, and Nicky Romero and was featured in Spotify’s “Hot New Dance” editorial playlist.
BLEAM has recently released a single under the esteemed boutique house label ‘Do Not Duplicate Recordings’ led by one of modern G-House’s pioneering record-makers, Bijou. With two Beatport charting singles in 2020 and multiple iTunes top 100 dance releases, he is on an upward swing with many more tracks lined up for 2021.
