Michele Zanello on How to Influence People With Marketing

Whether you like it or not, people and businesses are trying to influence your every decision. They use marketing psychology to analyze your consumer behavior, and later to manipulate your decision-making process.

It may seem like witchcraft, but it’s not. Persuasion techniques are present in every aspect of your brand from the color of your logo to the tone of voice that you use in presentations. You can learn them, too, and later influence people with marketing.

How to Use Marketing to Influence People

My name is Michele Zanello. I’m a digital marketing strategist and social media manager with more than five years of experience in the field. My digital career started in 2015, and my passion for branding strategy led me to create some of the most famous characters and public figures in the music industry.

Throughout this time, I developed an in-depth understanding of marketing techniques. I went through every trick in the book to discover the most efficient methods of influencing people with marketing.

All this information coagulated in my present-day winning philosophy, and the creed on which I run my business:

Be InfluentialNot an Influencer

This is my slogan, and I stand by it! These words helped me navigate through the complex world of digital marketing to build successful and memorable brands.

Here are some of the marketing tricks that I learned along the way:

  • Pick a logo image that is easy to recognize
  • Choose a brand slogan that is difficult to forget
  • Invest in premium quality copywriting
  • Use powerful keywords for your niche
  • Have a powerful presence on social media
  • Discover and know your audience
  • Be consistent in your persuasion patterns
  • Provide a clear and honest image of your brand
  • Increase the likeability factor with positive communication

Human behavior and the study of psychology are complex, but once you understand them, you will be able to build compelling marketing strategies. Learn the psychology of influence and how it relates to your brand, your audience, and your goals. The better you will know your customers the more you’ll be able to “guide” their behavior and their decisions.

These are just a few of the marketing techniques that I used in 2020 when I launched my digital agency called Midnight Milano. Our team specializes in high-quality branding, communication, and strategy.

Everyone wants to be an influencer nowadays. My advice is to go against the tide and aim to be influential more!
